Destination Weddings

Frequently asked questions

How soon should we book?

It’s best to reserve venues between 6 - 13 months in advance. Keep in mind that Saturday weddings and sunset wedding are in high demand. If you're looking for a complimentary wedding package, most of the FREE ceremonies can only be scheduled from Monday-Thursday, since Friday/Saturday weddings are so popular for the larger ceremonies.

How many people can we invite?

This is a HUGE advantage of having a destination wedding. The price per guest tends to be lower with destination weddings. Set an RSVP deadline for your guests. In order to finalize your guest list and see who's serious about coming, you'll need to set an RSVP (deposit) deadline.

We make this process easy for you by creating a complimentary, customized, private wedding website for you to share with your friends and family. The website will inform your guests of trip pricing, RSVP deadlines, traveling instructions, weekend itinerary, dress code, and other Q&A's about your wedding.

What's the average cost of a destination wedding?

It depends on your budget and appetite! On average, most of the weddings I have planned cost between $5,000 and $15,000.

One of the biggest factors that determines the cost is the reception - if you're looking for a ceremony and private reception with a DJ, expect to spend at least $5,000. If you are looking for a beautiful scenic ceremony and would rather dine at a restaurant on the property and then party at the club, you will spend much less.

What's the difference between a legal and a symbolic ceremony? Which should I choose?

If you opt for a legal ceremony, this means that you'd be legally getting married during your destination wedding. Personally, we chose the symbolic ceremony for my wedding to avoid having to return to the United States and prove the legality of my marriage.

When can guests lock in travel pricing?

Since flight prices fluctuate frequently, prices are confirmed when each guest makes the initial deposit. Example: If Guest 1 makes a deposit in January and Guest 15 makes a deposit in April, they will likely pay two different prices, since prices are locked in at the time a deposit is made. The prices quoted to you are hypothetical prices at a particular point in time. I recommend giving guests a 2-3 month booking window to make deposits on their flights and hotel rooms, especially to ensure availability.
